Saturday night was maintenance once again. I swear Saturday nights come around far too quick for my tastes!!
This weekend my husband spent quite a bit of time working in the back garden since it was the first semi-decent day we've had. Now somehow a rather large branch had made it's way back there- how I'm not sure since we don't have any trees. I guess it was from the neighbours therefore I think I will blame them for my maintenance spanking this week.
My dear husband decided to take full advantage of the random branch (well more like a limb with lots of small branches) and cut a few switches off. I was convinced he was just kidding about actually using them but I was wrong- way wrong!
So Saturday night after a quick warm up he gave me 10 strokes with the switch. That may not seem alot to some people but it hurt and let's not forget it was maintenance and not punishment. I had never really felt a switch and wouldn't mind if I never felt it again! It reminded me of the junior cane but unlike the cane it only left me with a few lil marks and not the lines I expected.
After I had recovered and we were cuddled up on the sofa a little while later, my husband stated in a wicked tone that 'it's amazing what God provided in the garden for spankers to use'. All I could do at that point was pray for a drought. :-/

Damn branches.
Have to admit I am a bit jealous though. We recently started maintenance again, and an unexpected trip for me, and an expected one for him, has put it all on hold indefinitely. And while I wasn't too thrilled about it to begin with, I find I am missing it.
Sigh...

Lovely blog. I've enjoyed getting caught up today. Keep up the good posts.

Emily- feel free to come have my maintenance for me! I'm such a wimp and it reminded me too much of a cane! When are you and Nigel going to be reunited?
Maryann- awe thank you for being so kind! I often wonder if anyone even reads my blog.
Wishing a drought on those poor trees is very bad behavior. As penance, may I suggest planting a birch tree. It will give you time to contemplate their sinuous branches. If you don't buy one too large, that is.
Rich- noooooo way! Lucky for me there is no where to plant one or I bet my husband would!
